Did you get your car
Nope, nobody has. Dodge in all their wisdom, decided to hold deliveries on all Hornets in Baltimore until Mid March to support the Hornet Media Ride & Drive and to build volume so dealers all have a chance to get them around the same time. Crappy deal for those of us who ordered day 1 and have already been waiting for 6 months.

Does anyone know of a website where the location of a vehicle being shipped can be found using its VIN?

Would any manufacturer be willing to risk putting an Air Tag or similar in a vehicle so the person who ordered it could follow its progress?

I was able to purchase $2400 below MSRP. I used Granger Motors.
That's a good deal.

But anyone should be able to renegotiate at time of arrival what they want to pay. If there isn't a lot of hyper and the market is restored to a more normal supply state by the time it finally ships, then making an offer under MSRP could be in the cards for everyone.

Based on the much lower than expected mileage and having just purchased a car (37mpg Nissan Rogue), when mine finally arrives I'll take it for a test drive to satiate my curiosity but probably also only make a low ball offer and see what happens. If they don't bite, won't be the end of the world.

The good thing though is that it means your dealer won't be the only one in your area with a single example that they can scalp prices on due to scarcity.

If every dealer in your area has four or five on the lot all at once, then making a lower offer shouldn't be an issue, at least for those of us that put no deposit down (I didn't).

Probably a company lease or executive car. This is about the time during a launch they typically start being delivered.

I could have followed them to sam's club as I was going to dinner across the street but didn't lol, a friend said the same thing could be company executive. Seen some other people say ports are holding them for a bigger release as well

Chrysler's typically have June plates (Ford's have April). You probably see a lot of them if your in the Detroit area.

After hearing the horror stories in the Facebook group about the "Sunroof delete credits" on some of the GT Plus orders, decided to reach out to my dealership.

Guess I luck out, not only has my invoice not been updated with that "credit", but it also has progressed from D1 on Friday to G (Trim) today.

How much were people being credited? I actually wouldn't mind not getting the sunroof but would be annoyed if the credit was some de minimis amount.
Didn't know that about the plates but yeah I see things here and there around here. Allen parks Ford plant I usually see production vehicles with camo. Lately it's been F series trucks
Those camo'd vehicles (are you sure it isn't protective shipping wrap?) usually have manufacturer plates. Management and employee lease cars have regular, random Michigan plates.

I am now wondering if my invoice was changed even though I ordered back in the first week of October, I do not want credits I want my spec exactly as I ordered it tbh. I will contact my salesman and give updates, hopefully soon we will all be able to enjoy our orders

I'd be fine with more headroom and the $615 in pocket.

If there is any way to yield it to you, you are welcome to my Hornet's sunroof.

They usually go target while I'm on my vendor route, almost positive it's camo for pre production vehicles in testing.

The hornet was a random MI plate for sure
