Hello all,

Something caught my eye. Take a look at this:

TLDR: The tax credit starting January 1st 2023 will not be based on where the car is assembled. It's based on a minimum of 7kWh battery, where the minerals, and battery components come from. The Hornet R/T already meets the 7kWh checkbox and as we all know, manufacturers usually outsource many of its components including batteries. I don't have the info as to where the minerals and components come from but based on this explanation from energy.gov it seems like the Hornet could be eligible for the $7,500 tax credit.
