I was trying to get an order in with my dealer but they said the track package option isnt available to order yet. Has anyone else heard this? Or heard when that option will be opened up to order?

I ordered my GT Plus on 18 Aug with Track Pack. It is listed on my build sheet too. R/T might be different though.

Really weird! All the dealers I called have said the track pack shows as an option to order on the GT but not the GT plus right now.
That's strange because I believe there are a few of us that got the GT Plus with Track Pack.

That is weird because I just went on the Dodge configurator and was able to spec a GT Plus with the track package.

Ask the dealer to let you see the code guide (hopefully they have the original and all revisions). The Track Pack may have been removed or placed on restriction but the Dodge website's "build and price" tool left unchanged.

Sunroof has nothing to do with track pack, it is part of the GT Plus package.

Just brainstorming/speculating based on the OP's comment, "All the dealers I called have said the track pack shows as an option to order on the GT but not the GT plus right now. " If that is the case, it seems like there would be something that doesn't want to play well between the add-ons included with the GT Plus and Track Pack. That's what lead to my speculation... Probably not the case but would be curious to see if those losing the sunroof (getting the credit) had also added the track pack to their GT Plus. Doubt it, but a possibility...

I ordered the GT Plus, with sunroof, and the Track Pack. Supposedly, I am getting the sunroof delete credit.

Yeah I have called multiple dealers now and Dodge themselves and nobody has an answer for me. I don’t get it. I would understand if the entire track pack wasn’t available at all but to be able to add it to the base model but not the plus seems really odd.

Just order GT Plus wanted to add just the Tech pack but dealer build had to add the Blacktop pack with it.
That's not true, my GT Plus has Tech pack but, I didn't order the Blacktop Pack

Yeah, that sounds like the first dealership I stopped at that said, you have to choose either the Tech or Track pack when you order the Hornet. Hard sale... hard pass.

Having worked in sales for FCA/Stellantis, the order configurator we get access to as sales personnel (which is the real configurator - note that public site allows all sorts of things that get shutdown in the real configurator) changes month to month. It changes with virtually no warning, and for a variety of reasons. Occasionally, Stellantis will issue a bulletin explaining the changes. Typically, the changes such as the one you're explaining have to do with current production status' and/or parts availability.

I ordered a GT plus with Track Pack on 1/31/2023 - and my car is built awaiting shipment, with no sunroof delete (thank god - my wife would shit if she was told sunroof and it was taken away). Random holds / lock outs of packages happens ALL THE TIME. I would suggest waiting a couple of weeks or a month to get what you want. The holds are almost always temporary. Phone calls to alternate dealerships are somewhat ineffective, because at the end of the day - you don't truly know if they're actually looking at the site, or just giving you a line of $#!t on the phone. While it's best to be sitting there looking at the configurator with them to see what's truly available, I will say that there's no incentive for a sales person to lie to you about what is or isn't available for an order. Believe it or not - it is similarly frustrating as the sales person trying to provide a customer with what they want.

Are you still an employee? If so, did you order through the company car system?

Thank for that. I like to have a positive attitude to people including car sale, and yes, we were there as she was inputting info. We even watched her click to add and it would add both, she would try to deselect the GT Blackout and it would subtract both. I am going to keep the order with the blackout option. I like the look just thought the $1995 cost wasn't worth it.

With the Hornet R/T a 2024 model and due out in a few months, perhaps no more orders are being taken for 2023 Hornets. The question then becomes, when will ordering open for 2024?
