I purchased my 2023 Dodge Hornet on Oct 11, 2023. During the handover inspection my dealer identified a small dent in the hood and instantly booked an appointment to have the dent repaired. I drove the car home and noted front interior lights did not work, I received warning lights and notifications because the front Collison warning system was not working, start/stop not working, speed indicator camera not working, alarms arbitrarily going off without warning.

Appointment was booked on October 17th to fix the dent, so I agreed to wait to bring it back to the dealership to address the electrical issues.

I picked up the vehicle on the same evening. They assured me the software update took care of all of my issues, but my interior lights still did not work. The service tech stated he would have to order a switch module as none of the upper console buttons were working. They could not give me an ETA for that part but assured me the rest of the electrical issues had been resolved.

I took the car home and proceeded to take a trip on the highway. While coming over an over pass, my dash lit up and I lost all acceleration. I was able to slow down enough to read the warning details, and my adaptive cruise control had failed. I am so grateful I was driving the vehicle not my new driver son. He would have ended up in the ditch. Over the weekend (no service department available) I noted my sideview mirrors are not opening everytime the car powers on. The car has 2 different alarm sounds and it went off intermittently. The front and rear collision system lights continued to go off, and a key lock warning as well. I took the car back to the dealership as soon as I returned home and it has stayed there.

The service tech advised there is not currently a fix for the issues, but Chrysler engineering has assured there will be something in Q4 of this year... They could not guarantee when.

Of the 14 days I have owned the vehicle it has been in the shop for 4 full days and should have been in longer. My dealership has advised there is no way to cancel the deal or reverse it, no but back option, and my only recourse is to complain to Chrysler Customer Service and hope they will offer some discount to apply to a trade in on a different vehicle.

This is not the fault of the dealership, but given all of the issues across the country, how has this vehicle not been recalled? A class action lawsuit will be the next step... And by the looks of the number of people on this forum... It will be huge!

This vehicle is unsafe... Marketed to have impressive safely systems... But none of them work.
