The press kit here indicates that Hornets should start showing up at dealers by the end of 2022, but from what I hear no one has a VIN number yet or shows built on their order status: Stellantis Media - Press Kit: 2023 Dodge Hornet:2023 Dodge Hornet Unlocks Gateway to Dodge Muscle, Offers Most Powerful CUV Under $30,000

Since these are shipping from Italy, historically for other makes once assembled it can take 1-3 months before a vehicle makes it from a overseas factory to actually showing up on a dealer lot. Since we're already in November, I'm guesstimating that February is more likely expectation for delivery.

Thoughts?

I have wondered about this too. My concern at this point is falling used car/trade in values so I am looking at my Plan B vehicle this weekend, a Volkswagen Taos.

That was also a strong contender, but the Taos suffers from an issue of surging power in hard turns from a stop. The interior plastics are also all hard, and the infotainment quite outdated by comparison.

Ultimately, after test driving I ruled the Taos out. On the plus side, you can get a Taos for under MSRP now in my area, which is not common for many other vehicles that have ADMs.
